Bentley Systems announced a commercial release of Bentley Descartes V8i (SELECTseries 3) product. The new release provides new advanced point-cloud processing and scalable terrain model manipulation capabilities.

This new functionality complements the existing processing and management of raster images and legacy documentation capabilities, making the new edition of Bentley Descartes V8i a comprehensive 3D imaging software product integrated with MicroStation for visualization and document conversion.

Improving point-cloud data quality
Better navigation and understanding of a 3D laser scan
High-performance display and manipulation of terrain models
