Daily invoicing and settlement of electricity imbalances |
10/20/2022
According to the document with amendments from the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (ÚRSO) No.24/2013 Coll. – Market Rules – from October 1st, 2022, daily financial settlements for electricity imbalances were introduced.
In Slovakia, the client of our company – OKTE, a.s. - is responsible for the entire process of calculations on the electricity market. The changes were presented during the discussion and analysis of the proposed changes to the XMtrade®/ISZO system.
The first regular round-the-clock imbalance settlement and invoicing successfully took place on October 4, 2022, on the first weekend of October. Currently, market players receive invoices according to the new scheme, each second working day. In parallel with the daily calculation of imbalances, the XMtrade®/ISZO system calculates the initial monthly and final calculations.
We have a unique 20-year experience in the market in the field of imbalances settlement. On September 29, 2022, we organized a free webinar for our customers (electricity suppliers and regional energy companies), for participants of the ENERGOKLUB® platform, as well as invited participants. Our experts - Anton Weissensteiner (expert in imbalance settlement) and Patrick Rzavsky (data collection) presented what electricity suppliers should be prepared for and what role of distribution system plays in this mechanism.
