International Center of Excellence for Research on Intelligent and Secure Information and Communication Technologies and Systems - II. Phase

Date March, 6-th, 2020 by signing the grant agreement for the project International Center of Excellence for Research on Intelligent and Secure Information and Communication Technologies and Systems - II. Phase is carried out at its successful level of Phase I.

Project to support centers of excellence of transnational character II. phase is focused on Energy sector. It will be realized by a consortium of 4 research institutions, the applicant is an international company - Atos IT Solutions and Services, s.r.o., and partners are 2 the research institutions - Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and Institute of Materials and Mechanical Machines of the Slovak Academy and company SFÉRA, a. s.

The project will include independent research and development, industrial research and experimental development of new intelligent solutions that respond to current trends and requirements regarding the provision of energy from RES and the providing of quality and manageable energy.

Microgrids represent generational change of functioning distribution and transmission systems, that transforming from centralized and unidirectional energy flows to decentralized, using bidirectional energy flow with integrated renewable energy sources and other comparable technologies.
