SFÉRA and Bizzcom present innovative technologies in augmented reality at the summer school of universities BRIGHT |
International summer school of 5 universities took place in Cluj Napoca, Romania, in July 19-30, 2021, and was organized by the Slovak Technical University and its partners from the consortium BRIGHT. Among innovative projects of consortium participants, SFÉRA and Bizzcom (a member of BRIGHT consortium) presented its mutually developed solutions in digitalization of industrial companies. 330 participants from more than 20 European countries participated in the summer school.
The main idea of the school was to unite talented students and academical field with prominent experts. For two weeks, students could get acquainted with innovations in 3D design of the medical field, in 3D printing, computer supported design, computer aided manufacturing and usage of tools of virtual and augmented reality.
Besides of interesting lectures presented by lecturers from Romanian and international universities, students were able to prepare 3D projects for improving medical devices. In laboratory conditions, directly at partners of consortium, students completed the entire process of validation, optimization and testing of prepared design. At the end, they had a possibility to print developed 3D models. During the whole process they got valuable feedback from doctors and experts of BRIGHT consortium (Materialise (Belgium), EnvisionTEC (Germany), 3D Systems (Germany), Spee3D (Germany), Stratasys (France), NU Technologies (Romania), Symme3D (Romania), and Omni3D (Poland).
Bizzcom a SFÉRA together presented their solutions in part, dedicated to virtual and augmented reality. Solutions that based on these technologies and developed for planning and design of production lines, maintenance and working procedures and trainings are part of digital transformation of industrial companies (Case study - Visualization and support of maintenance of production lines). Other presenters were companies in the field of computer-aided design and production CADWorks (Romania) and Solfins 3D (Serbia).
All partners of consortium agreed on future cooperation with students and professors on the next summer school BRIGHT (preparation of bachelor thesis/master’s thesis/doctoral thesis, cooperation on research projects, host of students/research experts at their production halls or laboratories etc.). The next summer school will take place in Croatia (in Brijuni) in July 2022. Its main topic will be 3D printing/VR/AR, medical applications with support and mentoring of partners of consortium BRIGHT.
A positive "cycloatmosphere" prevailed in Slovakia in June. Almost 1,300 employers took part in this year's Bike to work campaign. SFÉRA was among participants again. 12 colleagues formed 3 teams. Participation in the campaign was a great motivation to g...
