Current challenges and new trends in the energy sector were discussed last week at the second annual Energy Manifest Forum conference, which is organized by the Slovak Battery Alliance (SBA) and the National Hydrogen Association of Slovakia. SFÉRA, a.s. was a partner of the event. The participants of the event met at the Grand Hotel River Park in Bratislava.

The energy experts dealt with innovative solutions in the field of battery systems, as well as the technical possibilities of batteries in the provision of support services for the operator of the transmission system.

Vice-President of the European Commission for Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight - Maroš Šefčovič presented the most current energy challenges that Slovakia and the entire EU are currently struggling with, and solutions that could help in the current energy and environmental crisis.

At the end of the conference, it was said that renewable energy sources (RES) will play a key role in the future. Battery storage and hydrogen are excellent elements for RES, therefore the legislative environment must support their efficient use.
