Ing. Rastislav Krbaťa, PhD., MBA is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, where he earned an engineering degree in robust control. In 2000, he completed his doctoral studies in the field of strong control of dynamic systems. He subsequently expanded his managerial education at B.I.B.S. in Brno, earning an MBA with a focus on strategic business management.

Since 2000, he has been with SFÉRA, a.s., where he serves as Innovation Director. In this role, he oversees the development of conceptual solutions, methodological work, and management of complex, technically demanding projects. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the division, team coordination, process optimisation, and ensuring the quality of deliverables.

His expertise encompasses the development of innovative software solutions, technology integration, and the practical application of research outcomes. He is actively involved in research projects in automation, artificial intelligence, data visualisation, and systems for the energy, industrial, and public sectors. He has made significant contributions to the development of the XMatik^® platform and other company products.

He is the author of numerous professional publications and conference papers in the areas of management, maintenance, and information systems. His work emphasises systematic approaches, technological innovation, and sustainable solutions. His long-standing tenure at SFÉRA, a.s. demonstrates his expertise, vision, and ability to bridge research with practical market needs.
