Ing. Tomáš Bartek is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, where he earned a Master of Engineering degree in Robotics. He has been an integral part of SFÉRA, a.s., since 2006, steadily advancing from software developer to Director of the Development Division. In 2026, he was appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

With nearly two decades of hands-on experience, he is a key architect behind software solutions used by major participants in the energy market. His expertise spans the full lifecycle of complex IT systems—from analysis and solution design to implementation, team leadership and customer support. He led the delivery of a strategic data collection hub for Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s., enabling efficient collection, processing and management of metering data. He also played a pivotal role in the implementation of core systems covering contract and supply point management, metering data processing, billing, trading, finance and secure electronic communication with external stakeholders across the energy market. His long-standing work significantly contributes to the digital transformation of the energy sector.

As Chief Technology Officer, Tomáš Bartek defines and drives SFÉRA’s technology vision and strategy. He is responsible for the design of target system architectures and for ensuring the reliability, scalability and security of the company’s solutions. He leads multidisciplinary technology teams across software development, infrastructure, DevOps and IT security, while overseeing the operational stability of SFÉRA’s products and services. By continuously monitoring emerging technologies and translating them into practical innovation, he helps ensure the company’s long-term growth and competitiveness.
