Our IT solution for 15-minute trading on the daily electricity market has been successfully implemented. In Slovakia, 15-minute trading is implemented through the electricity market operator, OKTE, a.s., while XMtrade®/ISOT provides technological support for the process within the single European daily market.

The introduction of 15-minute trading is a current pan-European objective. It offers numerous benefits to market participants, including more accurate planning and higher trade liquidity.

The function became operational on September 30, 2025, when the entire European market connected to the SDAC (Single Day-Ahead Coupling) system, including the 15-minute intervals, for the delivery day of October 1, 2025. The first days of operation proceeded smoothly, with no risk to the international interconnected market.

We have been working intensively on this project since April 15, 2024. Designing the solution took place in parallel with other functionalities, and its testing and integration required several months.

Through this project, we confirm our role as a reliable partner in the modernisation of the European electricity market, providing market participants with new opportunities for more efficient trading.
