On May 12, 2023, SFÉRA, a.s., signed a contract with the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic on the provision of NFC for the project Development and provision of electricity outage prediction services based on information about faults in distribution networks and weather data. The project will be implemented within call no. OPII-2022/7/22-DOP for the submission of Applications for the provision of a non-refundable financial contribution focusing on "Services in the field of IT administration and support for the exercise of public authority".

The goal of the project is to improve the usage of data owned by the government by providing new utility value for citizens and entrepreneurs in the form of creating a new service offering the prediction of power outages based on information about faults in distribution networks and weather data. The service will combine existing data from two available sources:

• Weather forecast issued by the SHMÚ organization;
• Information on breakdowns and outages in distribution networks in the Slovak Republic (published by distribution companies).

The service will be able to be operated as a separate portal or as a part of third-party products primarily focused on weather monitoring and forecasting.
